• Spring sowing: Sow indoors in pots JanMar. Plant seeds 23 cm deep in moist, well-drained compost.

• Autumn sowing: Sow undercover (cold frame or greenhouse) SepOct, 23 cm deep. This helps develop strong plants for earlier blooms next year.

• Outdoors sowing: Sow direct outdoors FebApr after the risk of hard frost has passed.

Provide support as they grow and keep soil moist. Full sun is best for abundant flowering.
