Apples to Apples Jr. brings the fun of playing with words to a younger audience than the classic game of hilarious comparisons. As in the original Apples to Apples game, in each round, the judge has a card with an adjective (scary, useful, chewy, etc.), and each player has a few cards with nouns (monster, broomstick, bacon, etc.). Each player submits a card with a word, and the judge decides which one is the best fit, whether they prefer the most literal interpretation, or the most absurd.
