New Village Girls Academy is a Los Angeles high school and safe haven for young girls who have been failed by the traditional public school system. Many are overcoming challenges such as pregnancy, violence, foster care, poverty and juvenile justice involvement and need individualized support and care. Sophie works with New Village staff to provide the girls with anything of need and enjoys participating in their events. From Sophie: “After 10 years working in the beauty and fashion industry as a digital content creator, I receive an influx of products and clothing. New Village is my favorite place to donate the majority of these items to girls in need, who do not have disposable income to shop for themselves and enjoy the playfulness of dressing up or indulging in self-care. The school relies entirely on the generosity of its donors, and having had an all-girls education, this cause is close to my heart.”
